As a courtesy I am including his response from Google, as it demonstrates perfectly the condescension we experienced in his office.

Very disappointed in this experience. Long wait, dirty office, dr was dismissive and rude. Don't ask questions unless you want to be told you will be discharged as a patient. A worried mother will ask questions, and a competent doctor will answer them. "I wish you were in the medical field so you could understand this terminology"...Dr Bhatia has no idea my level of education. He actually refused to treat my daughter and retracted his plan of care after being questioned. Thankfully, we found a competent doctor the next day who allayed all of my fears and is treating her condition without the need to be derogatory.

Edited in response to Dr Bhatia's comment on google: You suggested a treatment protocol, then canceled it completely and suggested we seek a second opinion when I questions why you chose to change your mind. You "allowed" me to schedule a follow-up if needed, then argued about providing a copy of her records so I could seek this second opinion. I did finally receive the records, but had to stand my ground and insist on a copy. Our second opinion changed the medication you had previously prescribed (to a "better, more modern and effective type") while expressing surprise that you chose that route and type of medication to begin with. They also moved forward with a treatment plan for her, knowing (as you did) that we will be out of town next week and that it was imperative she receive proper medical care. My questions were answered competently, my daughter and I both left feeling reassured and well-cared for, and she said "Oh, I get what you mean...that other guy was so angry when you asked questions and this doctor actually knew what he was talking about".

I should thank you for providing a wonderful example for my daughters on what it means to be a woman today, on how to not be afraid to advocate for themselves and their loved ones despite verbal threats and accusations, and how to move forward competently in order to source proper medical care when your first option fails to provide it. They were also exposed to your decision to walk into your next patient's appointment, loudly laughing and apologizing for "what he had to witness". Or, as my youngest child correctly categorized it: Bullying.

Our "follow up" appointment was canceled as a courtesy because your services are no longer needed. Additionally, as you stated in the appointment, if I'm going to question your method of care (which, to reiterate, was doing nothing because we would be leaving town for Thanksgiving), then you would discharge her as a patient anyway.

Response from the ownerin the last week
Your child was added on our schedule as an emergency earlier this week because you could not get an appointment elsewhere. Initially and on follow up the doctor patiently explained your child's condition to you, showed photos, and answered your questions for more than 42 minutes. A truly "worried mother" with any "education " would not have neglected her child's treatment , loudly argued about the plan with the doctor, and expected a competent doctor to "allay all of her fears" so that she could prioritize her upcoming vacation/cruise over her child's care. Patients are Dr. Bhatia's first priority (and your daughter was given a follow up appointment today which you cancelled). Your children should be your first priority ( and also not writing misleading reviews or vacations).
